Project South Kingsway: Security Film
Service Type :
Security Window Film Installation
Project Scope :
Security window film installed on first-floor windows and glass doors, including resealing of treated windows.
Timeline :
2 Days
Project SUMMARY :
Project South Kingsway: Security Film was a security window film installation on a large residential home in South Kingsway, Toronto, focused on protecting the home’s extensive first-floor glazing. The homeowner wanted an added layer of safety across the accessible windows and glass doors without giving up the light and views that made the glass worth having in the first place. Big Dreams Reno installed security window film across the first-floor windows and glass doors, carefully finishing and resealing each treated window as part of the work.
The Challenge:
The main challenge was adding an extra layer of protection to a large amount of first-floor glass without changing how the home looked or felt from the inside. The homeowner didn’t want the glazing covered over or the views compromised — the film needed to do its job quietly.
The Plan:
Before the work began, we reviewed the first-floor windows and glass doors and confirmed which openings needed coverage. The plan included:
Installing security window film across the first-floor windows and glass doors
Resealing each treated window as part of the installation
Completing the work with minimal disruption to the home
The Build:
During the build, Big Dreams Reno installed the film across the first-floor glazing and resealed each window as it was finished. The project was completed in two days.
The Result:
The finished home now has an added layer of protection across its first-floor windows and glass doors, while preserving the light and views the homeowner wanted to keep.
